Outside Mullingar  is a tender, bittersweet portrait of two lonely neighbours in rural Ireland whose stubborn pride masks deep longing. Anthony and Rosemary circle each other across fields and years, bound by family duty, unspoken affection, and the quiet ache of missed chances.

With gentle humour and lyrical dialogue, the play reveals how love can endure disappointment, soften grief, and bloom unexpectedly, even with the most guarded hearts.

It quietly celebrates patience, forgiveness, and second chances.
